Baiela by Bianca Ribar offers Spray Tanning in her Sutherland Shire Studio located in Sylvania Waters. If you are booking in for spray tanning services below are a few ways to help your appointment stay to schedule.

Preparing for your Tan

  • Shave/wax at least 24 hours before your appointment

  • Exfoliate your skin paying particular attention to knees, elbows and heels prior to your spray tan. Dry, rough patches of skin tend to attract and hold more colour than skin which is smooth and soft. Failing to exfoliate before spray tanning can result, in blotchy uneven tan

  • Leave as long as possible between your shower and your tan so your skin has time to cool and dry after your shower.

  • Avoid lotions, creams, deodorant, or other personal hygiene items that could interfere with the spray tan adhering to the skin. Although you can Apply moisturiser to dry areas which include elbows, hands, ankles, knees and feet.

  • We recommend you wear light loose fitting clothing as full development of your spray tan will take anywhere between 2-6 hours  and any undue friction from tight clothing may affect the final result. The tan we use is washable, so any excess bronzer will wash out of your clothing.

  • To maintain your tan it is best not to have hot showers or long baths as this will effect the longevity of your tan.

  • Pat dry after your shower as rubbing will exfoliate your skin and your tan will not last as long.

  • Do not exfoliate until your tan starts to fade away.

  • Do not use soaps containing Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLS) as it can strip away your tan.

  • Do not swim in spas or swim in pools as the life of your tan may be affected

  • Moisturise your skin- this will help extend the life of your tan and will help your tan fade more evenly.

  • Try to avoid activities that will cause excessive perspiring for 12 hours after a spray tan
